Forget it….

Asylees don’t have to wait 5 years. They get Medicaid. What you posted is false.

Also, yes, the states are paying for it too.

I posted undocumented workers/illegal aliens are not eligible. Those immigrants you are referencing are here lawfully. What I posted is true.

Are you referring to the ACA Medicaid expansion? That does not fund undocumented workers. If there is another Medicaid expansion for undocumented workers then I am not aware of it.

In Colorado, it appears that federal funds can be used for emergency services which is no different than anywhere else and for the WIC program. So there are certain narrow exceptions where federal funds can be used for illegals. The amount used for emergency services are about 2% of the Medicaid budget.

Undocumented workers are not eligible for Medicaid. About 281 billion of the Medicaid budget goes to nursing home care.

Currently there is a five year look back provision for Medicaid eligibility, some people will transfer most of their assets before the 5 year period to retain the assets in the family and still become eligible for Medicaid. You could have a look back provision since birth and force people to drain their nest egg for nursing home care.
“Undocumented workers”. You’ve went full on woke. Bogus. They are documented whether Illinois and other progressive states provide drivers licenses, they receive money on their VISA cards paid for by UN, go to the ER for medical treatment, commit a crime and get released. They are illegal aliens. Period. End of story.

I agree that they can get emergency medical treatment. I don't care if they are called illegal aliens or undocumented workers. I was just using the most recent terminology.

Just like changing the term master bedrooms to primary bedroom. I think it is all rather silly but I am not going to fight it.

While you are all talking about real things, I'm still stuck on the culture wars around Snow White. It's opening weekend grossed $87 million worldwide, which is disappointing and indicating it will not be a financial success (supposedly have to gross more than $500 million to cover production and marketing/distribution costs). Lots of negative articles, lots of hand wringing over Disney's woke bias, but Rotten Tomatoes has gotten my interest.

They quote verified review numbers and total review numbers. The verified reviews are supposedly from people who bought their theater tickets thru Fandango, which owns Rotten Tomatoes, or any other online seller that they can mine your email from. They say they are trying to weed out trolls and this verified number is what shows up in publications' articles quoting Rotten Tomatoes about audience reviews.

As of today, Rotten Tomatoes verified reviewers rate Snow White 74% favorable and the total of all their reviewers is only 23% favorable. On IMDB, which doesn't try to verify its reviewers, the number is 20% favorable, with over 63,000 ratings so far.

I dunno but something seems off here. Either an AI troll has taken over all the ratings on the internet or their verified number, which is widely quoted, is off. I'm leaning toward there is something off at Rotten Tomatoes.

(it kinda feels like "officials" in California certifying fair elections but who knows.)

Movie has had negative publicity for quite some time before the release. Saw a couple of reviews on TikTok, seemed they made some strange choices and they added new music which kids found boring.

Undocumented workers are not eligible for Medicaid. These costs were for emergency room treatment and represent 2% of the budget. There is no ongoing Medicaid treatment for these people. You really are in denial about the facts that don't fit your worldview.
So, Medicaid money was getting spent on illegals. Thanks Jeff.

Team Jeff was also pushing if not giving them long term disability. No doubt they would be giving them Medicaid too. Naturally, you are a fool to believe otherwise.

California is begging for more money after giving illegals free healthcare. At the expense of whom Jeff? The precious seniors you whine about.

I thought you had hit the bottom of the fool's well, but apparently you hit a ledge and keep cascading downward. California is the test model for all things left. It starts there and then is forced on everything else.

Thank Trump for waking up America and providing a vessel to confront this lunacy. Lunacy which Jeff is all-in with.

When you trash half of America, stray significantly from the original plot, and eliminate the dwarves, well - you get 45M in US box office receipts for something that was no doubt marketed extensively and had a lot screens.

A good movie with little marketing budget can be a big hit due to word of mouth.

Disney bet on a "woke" nation and woke up in the land of Trump. People just want to be entertained without a right or left slant. Tom Cruise will do that this summer with Mission Impossible 28.

Can't believe MAGA clowns are focused on how woke a Disney movie is. Pathetic.

MAGA Clowns, LOL.

1) It was brought up to discuss the disparity in ratings between verified, unverified, etc.
2) It is further evidence that Team Jeff Stone is failing horribly. You guys screw up everything that was once great.
3) The poor numbers demonstrate that the country is sick of this leftist crap. You have a great name in Disney putting out a remake of a great picture - it really should sell itself. But the leftist lead actress turned people off and Disney desecrated a classic story which the public has rejected.

FWIW, I do note that you don't like woke Disney discussions. I also note that Jeff doesn't like illegal immigration to be discussed. Has Jeff and his Florida loving wife opened their Naperville home to "undocumented workers" or do they reject them like every other liberal in the US?

Medicaid is funded by the federal government for all intents and purposes. It's administered by the states (and implemented at the county level in many states) and it's hardly a stretch to conclude the states are doing it differently. Let's call it "fudging" it in some cases.

That is what happens when a President appoints a bunch of inexperienced incompetents, like a weekend Fox News host to be SOD.
Assuming that article is true, what is that on par with:

Horrible Afghanistan withdrawal resulting in US deaths and enriching the Taliban with US treasure?

Doing nothing productive during Ukraine/ Russia war?

Encouraging and funding an open border invasion?

Oct 7 atrocities followed by wishy-washy support of Israel after opening up the flow of cash to Iran causing the problems in the first place?

It is quite a bizarre occurrence if true. We'll see what happens if/when it gets more widely reported. That sort of stuff should never be communicated on a cell phone. I recall an incident in the middle east where a soldier used a cell phone/text message to request a rescue mission for some guys in the field who were about to be overrun when satellite comms were down. He was arrested and I think court martialed for it. It's extra interesting that of all the places a sensitive comm could have accidentally been forwarded, it landed on the cell phone of someone who writes for a publication that vehemently opposes the administration.

Half of you points are silly or actually result from Trumps negotiations. If you want to do whatabouts, lets go to "lock her up, lock her up" chants repeatedly because Clinton had a personal server, even though no classified documents were found on it (one after the fact). Certainly no war plans.

Oh brother…….

This administration is not cutting off your Medicaid, calm down. Once DOGE and the rest of this superior administration cut funding to the illegals you voted for, again, there will be plenty of government teet for you and grannie to get subsidized healthcare.

You are right, if this screwup wasn't at the highest level, the officers responsible would be fired and court martialed. It is true admitted by Administration.
A National Security Council spokesperson confirmed that the message chain “appears to be authentic,” and said, “We are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced ridicule after it emerged he was part of a group of Trump officials who texted war plans to a group chat that mistakenly included a journalist — just days after boasting that America no longer “looked like fools.”
Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, reported Monday that he was part of a text chain on the Signal messaging app where details of air strikes in Yemen were discussed along with other highly sensitive national security matters.

I am not planning to use Medicaid ever. I will start using Medicare when I turn 65.

I prefer a good A24 movie.

Bizarre, but wow. It'll be interesting to hear how that happened. Spills can be just as bad as leaks.

LOL. Trump's fault that the dems in charge were insanely incompetent.

This mistake by the Trump Admin is a nothing burger in comparison to those.

We will see. It would be a bad look to deny it if true.

Yep, I'll let it play out. For any of these top-level people to be texting on non-military radios - well that would be very bad.

Funny story - at a General Dynamics facility with a 1000 people - portable media was outright banned. Mind you, this wasn't in any secure areas, just the facility itself. There would be hell to pay if you got caught with a jump drive. One day, in the parking lot, a portable media was found and traced back to a high level executive (nothing was stolen). Well, at that point it became Okay to have them in the office. They just couldn't be used in a similar manner to the cell phone camera which also couldn't be used inside. Amazing how policy changes when the higher ups are the ones who break it.
