Not so fast. Lincoln had no choice because Congress wasn't in session (otherwise they would have voted on it) and Maryland was actively blocking northern access to Washington. Maryland was basically functioning on behalf of the Confederate states so asking them to arrest and try terrorists was a non-starter.

Check out the Pratt Street riot of April 19, 1861. Any Union troop coming from the north to the south had to change trains in Baltimore. To get to the DC train, they had to walk a couple of miles through a hostile city. Not good.

The big question all along is figuring out how Ukraine thinks it can win this war, assuming Russia isn't going to just pick up their marbles and go home. Right here, Zelensky is telling us how he plans to win. It's nothing more than making the Ukraine/Russia war a US/EU/Ukraine vs Russia war. It's not going to happen.
Actually quite similar. Lincoln was elected during peacetime and was welcomed with a declaration of succession thanks to his predecessor. In a similar manner, Trump's predecessor (Biden - your guy) left him with a war intended to lead to WW3. Great presidents solve these problems. Trump will get it done despite Western war-mongers like you.
Listen Jeff, I don't expect you to recognize modern-day greatness given your votes for Mitt, Hillary, Joe, and Kamala. The world has passed you by and the people who are most enthusiastic for Trump are under 40 years old. SIXTY percent of those under 40 approve of President Donald J. Trump. They don't want to die in a war for Democrat dinosaurs. They just don't. And they want a great economy since their careers are at stake. For those who truly have long-term skin in the game, Donald J. Trump is clearly popular.

How about the 10 million waiting for asylum cases to be heard. They estimated 10 year backlog. But that has changed now with great leader Trump, they fired all of the immigration judges so now they will stay as Republicans did not pass the bill and increase judges.!
You didn't look at the crossing numbers. If they are not coming, why hire more judges? Border fixed without congress spending more money.
I thought the Bill crashed without assistance from Trump. It was total garbage that did absolutely nothing other than keep flooding America with low level workers/non-workers who would vote Democrat.
They removed 5 of the nation's 700 immigration judges.
Putin was not the leader of Russia for most of the time when Clinton was President. Putin had no track record as he does now. Stupid post.
