On last night's Big Ten Final Drive, Mike Hall, Stanley Jackson, and Chuck Long were discussing the B1G West standings. Iowa, NW, PU, and Wisky are all 2-1 in the conference and can be an interesting race for the division title.

Jackson mentioned that one of the reasons those teams are in that position right now is because Nate Stanley, David Blough, Clayton Thorson, and Alex Hornibrook are all playing lights out although Hornibrook not so much yesterday. Jackson also mentioned that one of the issues with Rutgers is that Artur Sitkowski and Giovanni Rescigno need to play better.

Our current QB situation has been discussed in multiple threads on this board for the last 15 hours. Although our main issue is with our defense, and we don't have receivers who can hold onto the ball, I feel that Bush is not the best option moving forward. He can beat teams like Kent State and Rutgers but I am not sure he would have done well against USF or Penn State. I don't like the fact that he holds on to the ball too long and then has to make something out of nothing. For a freshman, I think Rivers has done better and he has gone up against USF and Penn State. He may not be a runner like Bush, but I like his release better and gives us a chance to be more than just a running team. and I think he gives us a better chance to win. However, I know Lovie gets stubborn and will probably stick with Bush.

I am also scared that it may be a while until we beat NW with them bringing in Hunter Johnson next year. Seems like they always bring in a QB who can beat us.

Discuss and critique my post.
