The Illini picked up a 2026 in-state commitment last night. He told Rivals what made the team his choice.
“I chose Illinois because of the constant communication, their academic prowess as a school, the environment and the coaches,” Grant said.
The DeKalb standout says he will bring competitiveness, physicality, and effort to Illinois. He was visited this week by wide receivers coach Justin Stepp and Dre Brown. That home visit was great and the coaches were able to sit down to spend time with his parents.
He also detailed his relationship with Stepp.
“I would say we have a good relationship that will continue to grow and I like the idea of having him as my coach,” Grant said.
