Will do Stone. That fraudulent poll was used to create a narrative going into the final weekend that WAS used by Democrats and the FakeNews to inspire the Democrat base and push the narrative that Kammy had momentum everywhere. It probably did help the Democrat GOTV effort which along with fraud gave the Dems narrow “wins” in WI and MI (Senate).

My goodness this is terrible proof. I could have given a better response, and I don’t think it had much, if any, impact on the election.

The Covid Vax mandate combined with poor, woke leadership was a recruiting killer. Top Gun 1 inspired young men to enlist. Top Gun 2 was a blown opportunity with this crowd in charge. The recruiting problem was solved on November 5th thanks to those who had the courage to vote for Trump and not sit out the election.

Hardly. Less than 25% of kids of enlistment age qualify because of academics, physical fitness, drugs, etc. Add that to all of the other challenges, and it’s generational, systemic issue that won’t be solved by a presidential election.

LOL that is weak, A fake poll that did not hurt Trump at all , but maybe a couple of narrow Senate races. The foolishness of your position about the poll is obvious even to you.

Is it fair to say then, that recruiting problems stem in large part due to qualification standards being raised? Particularly compared to when I was young in the 70's and 80's and it seemed that qualifications were almost non-existent.

I think the military being woke has cost them numbers. I have a good friend that graduated from West Point. He served 9 years before going to the private sector. His oldest son was recruited to play football at WP. His dad said, "no way" and his son is playing at an Ivy League school. He told me they did their WP reunion two years ago in Dallas because they didn't want to go back to the academy they loved that is run by communist.
This is anecdotal I know, but it is not uncommon for veterans to send their kids to the military. I think that is less common today.

It's a nice anecdotal story, but he responded by sending his kid to a (checks notes), Ivy League school? Guessing his kid gets plenty of woke there too. Sounds like his kid got a better opportunity and took it.

That said, I have no doubt that many are turned off by the DEI nonsense in our military, and I'm sure it has turned some away from enrolling.

Would anyone blame Trump if the government sells all of that spectrum?

Looks like CBS is going all-in with known liar Brennan’s statement about Tulsi. Extremely disengenuous. What this tells you is how little the news media thinks of their own side and the facts. They believe they can lie to their audience and the sheep will lap it up like koolaid.

More leftist media mischief with polling data. It’s no wonder their sheep were mad and shocked at the outcome of the election of the race. And yes. This was willfully done to suppress Republican vote.

Gotta love the completely useless Bulwark. Supposed Republicans, but anti-Trump. They must be for government bloat and government overreach and censorship. Headline regarding Trump’s “unqualified cabinet”, yet the article only goes after Gaetz. LOL.

I guess it is now a thing. I'm always the last to know.
It’s even in MLB. Jarren Duran made a comment under his breath about a fan in the stands using the f-slur offensive to gay men. They suspended him. His jersey became the number 1 selling jersey for over a month. The pro teams are pathetic. The democrat players can say the dumbest things, wear anti-cop pig socks, and put leftist slogans on their helmets, let alone be pro-CCP China in the NBA, but god forbid a player say a wrong word under his breath, a player wear a MAGA hat or do the Trump dance. Freedom of speech and expression only goes one way for the most part except for a few franchises.

Hardly. Of that 25 percent, the one's most prone to join (that is, the fittest), were also the one's most likely to reject the vax.

All of the things you list are true - fitness, academics (standards were lowered), etc.

Let's see what happens, but recruiting new warriors just got a lot easier since some of the obstacles to recruiting just improved (woke, risk level of getting killed in war, DEI, uninspiring leadership). My buddy just visited his son in CONUS and morale is up significantly already.

I have similar stories from parents of kids who easily meet the standards Doug mentioned and are in the usual areas military would get recruits. It’s the foreign wars, weak leadership in DC and of course the wokeness that is being pushed in the upper brass.

My goodness, Rill, you are reason the expression "Talk the talk walk the walk" exists. You boast about how you stood against men in women's sports. But, when the rubber hit the road you sat out - likely just to maintain your good standing with your wife and neighbors. The very definition of weak. Thank goodness there were 76 M BRAVE Americans who stood for the women rather than running their mouths.

Yes, this fake poll was used the whole weekend. It ain't hard Rill, the media and Dems used this fraudulent poll to gin up excitement and increase turnout.

Media goes all in!

Vice President Kamala Harris has overtaken former President Donald Trump in Iowa, leading 47% to 44% in a stunning reversal in the reliably Republican state, according to a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll. The New York Times/Siena College polls also reveal Harris advancing in key battlegrounds, including narrow leads in four out of seven states.

I hate to tell you, but I didn't see "should biological men play women's sports?" on the ballot.

This really isn't that difficult. We just need liberal men to start saying, "biological males cannot play girls/women's sports" and this ridiculousness will all go away. But they are too soft, so high school and college girls are having to take a stand. It sucks, because all of those girls are losing the opportunity to play.

At some point you will realize I'm not the enemy. I ask questions, and think both sides have areas they can improve. Looking at all the waste being highlighted in govt, it's pretty clear both parties are responsible. I'm also part of the growing independent group that wants our govt to be better. I'd be careful constantly chastising that group, it doesn't help.

You aren't able to understand the difficult concept that the Iowa poll did not hurt Trump, he won Iowa by 13%. It is easier to make the argument, equally baseless, that the poll helped Trump by motivating his voters and convincing Harris voters that they could back off as she was winning.
Give up parroting the RW media nonsense.

I just can't believe people still pay close attention to polls after years of seeing they aren't accurate. I've said for years they are garbage, and I don't pay attention to them. Probably why I don't care about the lady throwing away her credibility, in an election where the left got their ass handed to them.

Maybe it won't be solved but the military enrollment will go up no doubt.

Not in regards to the recent challenges, no. It reflects changes in our culture.

The DoD is going to have to make some decisions on physical requirements for non-combat MOS’s.

Tom Homan was just on Fox and sounds serious.

But not much funding (yet), not much manpower (yet), not much facilities and equipment (planes, buses, detention facilities). Deportations, closing the border, etc is massive and the Dems are going to politicize it every step of the way. The media will run daily anti Trump articles (I know, what else is new). Oh and how do you get around sanctuary cities?

If I had to guess, Trump may get the wall but not many will be deported. The "cat is out of the bag" and we have 8-12 million new Americans. AOC was the most vocal voice for open borders but I'm not sure these people are going to be automatic Dem voters. They care about jobs and making a new life. We need to get them out of gang hotels the Biden admin sentenced them to. I don't like they came here illegally but treating them like this is a disgrace. Sex trafficking, drugs, crime, etc. What a mess. and Trump inherits it.

I am guessing they might even dust off the picture of kids in cages from the Obama era to blame trump during this term also 😜

The sanctuary cities will be an interesting dilemma. Trump will probably attempt to sword fight these guys with federal money. In the end, is it a bad thing if all the illegals flock to the sanctuary cities even more than they are now? Let the voters enjoy what they voted for. Biden could help those cities out with extra money. Trump will not. Get your popcorn ready!

His kid would get plenty of woke at most any high level college in the US. My friend is a giant patriot with a big brain and his kid was going to an academy from the time I coached him in little league.

Sounds like a middle of the road source.
You would probably call him a cultist as he was willing to take a stand and vote for Trump.

On a side not, he introduced me to several veteran friends of his that were running for congress a long time ago. I even donated to some of their efforts. He also introduced me to friend of his that was buying up dental practices in target markets to consolidate them. This was 2009 and I gave him $25k for his endeavor. He sold that business 5 or 6 years ago for 50,000,000. My only regret is I didn't give him more. He has been a very profitable friendship for me. Love me some cultist!

Actually Trump had run on making an executive order day 1 of his administration removing biological males from female sports and his administration would also be reversing the Biden administration’s changes to Title IX, which moved biological males into female spaces. Whether you like it or not, it was on the ballot.

Government must be more accountable. The people at the top must take pride in efficiency and how they spend taxpayer money as if it were their own…frankly they pay taxes, too. It’s shocking how insulated these people appear to be.
