i posted this in another thread, but didn't want to change the dynamics of that thread with a total off-topic post.
so figured we could discuss/debate Big Ten recruiting here:
well, since you mentioned recruiting, we should all take notice that as of now, there are 8 Big Ten teams in the top 50 classes.
The likes of Minnesota at 21 and Penn state at 17 disgust me. Also, the fact that IL isn't even ranked in the top 100 classes disgusts me even more. IL has the worst recruiting class in the Big Ten. Yes, behind Rutgers. other notables ahead of IL's class: Depaul, Rice, Georgia State, South Alabama, East Carolina, Monmouth, MIssouri State, and plenty other "big names."
One justification i read on the firing of Cubit was that the incoming class was ranked next to last in the BT anyways, so its not like they were going to go backwards.
I say we apply that same train of thought on the basketball program.
