Illinois commit Tony Adams and his SLUH team are taking on St. Louis Chaminade, which features Rivals100 2018 DT Trevor Trout and 2017 Illinois WR target Reggie Crawford.
Adams has had a good day on offense. I have him down for 5 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown at the half. He's not the biggest, he's not the fastest, but he just makes plays. Check out the vine below, which he did hang onto and which set up one of his team's 3 touchdowns. Has shown a strong pair of hands and the concentration to make tough catches over the middle when he knows he's going to take a hit. They also line him up at FS and he's been just okay there. Made a couple weak efforts at tackles, but they line him up 15-20 yards deep and it really takes him out of the action.
Crawford has been the surprise for me. He looks the let both physically and athletically. Only one half of football but he looks like a Big Ten outside receiver to me. Explodes to top speed, great body control and he can jump out of the gym, which he showed on a long fade that he hailed in but they called back for offensive pass interference. Trout has been quiet tonight. Nothing of not to speak about so far.
