So, I've been holding on to this glimmer of light that keeping Groce will land a class of Tilmon, Williams, Pickett, Goodwin, etc. The glimmer includes Groce coaching a full roster and that class landing on campus. I'm not convinced Groce can coach obviously, but I would like to have seen him with a full roster. Now you throw in this potential class, and getting them on campus is a big deal, imo.
Given the recent developments, I'm letting go of that glimmer and thinking this was the last straw for Groce.
I have a hard time swallowing the pill of Demonte Williams playing at Kansas and Tilmon playing at Michigan State. I also don't like setting the program back another year or two with a new coach. Now, we will be talking about 15 years of underperformance as 10 years is passing us by.
So now I'm curious in opinions and informed opinions (Brad), if a new coach can land Tilmon, Williams, Pickett, Goodwin, etc. What's the case? Convince me a Drew can make this class happen...
