This is a bit depressing. Two 4 star DEs just orally committed to NW. One of them had offers from Michgian, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor and the other was UM, OU, Nebraska, and Penn State.
If they can get more playing time as freshman at NW versus all of those traditional power houses I guess I could understand them committing to NW. Both of them praised their facilities. I know they have made some upgrades in their training facilities but I still don't see how people say we have some of the worst facilities in the B1G. I am sorry but I think their stadium is a dump. At least we have modernized ours.
I realize its going to take some winning to get 4 star recruits to commit to us but before their magical run in 1995 what 4 star recruit would ever even take a look at NW let alone chose them over traditional power houses that offered them?
Can Lovie bring us to that level were recruits are singing our praises? What's so great about Fitzee that Lovie can't out do him? If NW can outgrow their stigma of loveable losers, why can't we?
