I know we don't talk much about the NBA around here, but I just thought the Celtics situation this year and going forward should be noted. They have a chance to be one of the best teams in the league in a couple years. They already have a really solid young team, and then this year they get three first round draft picks. If the Nets can beat out the 76ers for the worst record in basketball, the Celtics will get to draft Ben Simmons, who looks like a once-in-a-generation type talent. Then, they get the Mavs first round pick as long as it's not top 7, which it won't be. Lastly, they get their own which will likely be another top 20 pick. You can get better in a hurry with three first round picks. If I were a Celtics fan, I'd be celebrating Nets losses more than Celtics wins this year because, again, Simmons is just awesome. Plus, as we all know, they have one of the best young basketball coaches in the game in Brad Stevens. Thinking about the future probably gets him pretty pumped up.
