Blown calls; conscious or unconscious bias?

Lovie got his first real taste of what it's like to be an Illini in the B1G. The only real question is whether it's a conscious or unconscious bias. Other than the PSU game, I think it's way more often than not an unconscious expectation bias. They "know" Nebraska is the better team and the unconscious mind plays a big role in snap decisions.

I don't know if anyone's ever done a study on "50-50 calls", but I'd bet a chunk of change they tend to go in favor of the program with more prestige, the team favored to win that day, and the team playing at home. I also think the prestige factor would have the biggest effect.
