is he really that bad a shooter? I just saw what looked like a recent practice video on YouTube (I’m not smart enough to figure out how to link it on my phone) and the dude looked automatic from 3 in that video. I was impressed after hearing how inconsistent he was. It was a bit of a funky release, but it was a quick release which is more critical in college anyway, and it went in consistently.
It’s also amazing how many layups he gets in every highlight video I’ve seen. Not sure what to make of that as most of his video highlights show mostly layups which makes them not overly exciting to watch. But the more I see I think he’s just extremely smooth, has long arms, is quick and crafty, and that translates to a lot of easy buckets other players just can’t get.
