...and in other news

That’s why we have whistleblower protection. She’s clearly been sitting on it until she got an actual FBI Director. Further yet, the SDNY and NY FBI appear to be rogue. They will be taken care of soon enough.

Man, I hope you are right. They haven’t been very transparent about this stuff. Blaming other departments now that they aren’t showing anything of value….not surprising.

Gotta admit, the longer this gets dragged out, the more I think a lot of them are guilty of horrible things. Trump included.

They better come up with something significant soon. Today was a total bust, no way around it.

There’s a Congressman drafting a bill specific to the Epstein files, that says any government worker who shreds any of it will never be allowed to work for the government again. There’s a serious hangup somewhere. Now I will say, I didn’t vote for Trump because of Epstein files. I will give them some leeway on this. I think it’s a matter of time.

Competence, adults in charge! I spit out my wine. Are you completely nuts. Bondi only has been sitting on a notebook not all of the files. She releases them to RW "influencers". LOL. 🤡 She tells Patel to get the rest, which they both claim they hadn't known were in the hands of the NY FBI. What a shit show! America is in good hands.
You go grab Joetato out of memory care and I will get word salad out of the bar. They will have everything fixed by morning 🤣 🤣 🤣

Remember that time word salad went over to meet with Zelensky to straighten everything out and Russia invaded 48 hours later? That was neat!

It's an interesting approach, and I can't say I object to it. The "legacy media" has proved themselves unworthy of public trust as journalists and it appears the country has voted with their ears and eyeballs as they increasingly turn to alternative sources for news and opinion. Those individuals probably wouldn't have been my first choices, mostly because I'm unfamiliar with them, but we'll see how they do with it. Far from the surprise of the millennium, SDNY and their local FBI office have allegedly engaged in insubordination and withheld (perhaps destroyed) the large majority of the material from the US Attorney General. I would hope a significant number of terminations would result from that, if what's being reported is accurate.
My buddy's Dad was FBI for over 20 years in the NYC office.

His job was sitting in a small room like a closet, listening to hidden mikes planted in Russian areas in the UN. He was fluent in Russian.

I don't think he ever made an arrest.

I guess we will never know what killed her. Pretty irresponsible for one on this board to speculate in response to a post without commentary.

Suspicious unattended deaths in NJ must have an autopsy performed, prior return to the family.

As I discussed/argued with Geo a few years ago, if the death occurs in a hospital under normal conditions the attending Physician or her actual Doctor will determine/estimate the cause of death on the Death Cert and no autopsy will be conducted nor will a tox exam be done.

How long did the Dems hold up her appointment ? The Dems wasted valuable time ! She didn't sit on anything.

NJSP Unit stopped and inspected a tractor trailer.

They discovered various CDS in the trailer worth $ 36,000,000

I get the sense that the admin released everything they had to to those three yesterday. One of the things that seems a little off is that nothing has been said by any of the recipients so far. To be fair it's been less than a day, but it's not exactly a small story either. Unless Bondi's memo to Patel was a red herring, the bigger story to me is the outright insubordination (assuming veracity of the supposed whistleblower's assertions) within the DoJ in refusing to comply with a lawful order from the AG.

Although I was initially okay with it, I'm starting to wonder why they chose to release it the way they did. I don't think it was random or capricious.

The other thing that's sad when you think about it is that it wouldn't be a surprise at all is if some of Trump's appointments are either swampers in disguise, or have already, in a matter of mere weeks, been subsumed. "Resistance is futile," said the Borg. The Epstein matter isn't the main concern in the big picture, but it's a pretty significant test for Bondi and Patel.

This was a topic of discussion a couple days ago. Some stats on the federal workforce including income distribution data.

The dollars keep rolling in for America with Trump !

Apple announces they will spend $ 500,000,000,000 Billion and open 20,000 jobs !

That gets the new investments in the US under Trump at $ 1, 500,000,000,000 Trillion Dollars SINCE Jan 20 th !!!

Ukraine announces that Z-Man will be in US later this week to sign precious metals deal with USA for $ 500.000.000.000 Billions.

That makes $ 2 Trillion and counting !
Ehh, that’s not much. Shoulda just raised taxes 🤣

You just don't get. Trump has said he won't touch Social Security and Medicare. These are two of the biggest components of the federal budget. If benefits are not to be cut then payroll or income taxes will have to be raised to make these programs solvent. By 2035, Social Security will not be able to fully fund its payments and all recipients will take an almost 20% reduction in benefits if taxes are not raised. In addition, the longer you wait to fix the problem the worse it will get.

They said it would be out day 1. It wasn’t. It wasn’t out day 2 or 3 either.

Then nothing really happened today other than a photo shoot for some shady influencers. It was like the trans photo shoot that Biden held at the WH.

All a show, and not a single person is being prosecuted for partaking in Epstein’s illegal sex trade.

This is why no one trusts the media anymore. Everyone knows this was a man. They aren’t including a picture because it clearly is a man dressing as a woman.

When the media lies about things that are easily proven untrue, people question everything else they say. They do this to themselves. Be honest. Be transparent.

If this was a RW nut trying to bomb the business of an influential person on the left, this would be all over the national news.

That's a difficult one. Once the pencil is sharpened and we're sure that all the outflowing dollars are proper, then a look at payroll taxes and benefits are in order. Ultimately the gov't should get out of the pension business and probably move towards something like the "thrift" savings plan for federal workers--a defined contribution-type plan that is actually invested rather than just traded in for IOUs (special bonds) and dumped in the general fund to be part of the general drunken sailor federal government behavior. A hidden boon could come if the HHS secretary makes any headway with the chronic disease epidemic, which currently costs the country north of $4.2T per year, and I'd guess Medicare and Medicaid eat a big chunk of that. Unfortunately, the gov't cannot be trusted to properly allocate any additional tax revenues collected in the name of SS/Medicare, especially if it's done through general income tax. I think the rubber will have to meet the road in the form of lowering benefits for future (rather than current) recipients and/or raising eligibility ages. As a future recipient (who is already retired but not yet eligible) it sucks, but that's the math.

Jeff, they’ll do what they’ve always done to “fix” Social Security… they’ll slowly raise the age for full retirement benefits.

Another man, pretending to be a woman.

People have pulled out his old tweets and man there are some doozies.

- tweeted about how his new tits need attention
- tweeted about how he can get liquid to come out if he squeezes his new tits
- tweeted about how he has a bigger cock than Trump

And I’m sure he will win, because well, it’s Colorado.

It was all a show. Nothing in the binders.

How much $$ did they waste on that photoshoot yesterday? Maybe Elon could let us know.

All this makes me do is think Trump and others were very involved. Can’t expose any without exposing them all, so we will just go back to not exposing anyone.

I don’t believe Trump/Bondi are in a battle with the FBI. I don’t believe Trump has ever wanted it all released. Yesterday reinforced that.

Our local leadership seems hellbent on destroying Denver. Restaurants are already struggling because of all the crime and increased minimum wage. This would be the knockout blow.

That will only close 38% of the gap.

The last time they addressed the issue was in 1983 and the retirement age was raised and payroll taxes were increased as well.

So what happened to all the money everyone paid into social security for their entire working lives?

It wasn't invested in any meaningful way and so it wasn't enough, basically. Certainly there have been cases where benefits have been paid out that shouldn't have been paid, and I think some of the disability payouts to younger people are questionable, but I suspect that doesn't account for the entire shortfall.

There is a ton of mental health disability fraud out there. Not difficult to qualify for.

My neighbor (right next door) retired from the FBI, and is now a fraud investigator for Colorado PFML. He said the amount of fraud is crazy, and unsustainable.

I’m well aware. I’m also aware there is a lot of fraud in that 15% going out for disability.

Medicaid paid $6 million to dead people in Colorado last year. What does that number look like nationally? We should absolutely look at cleaning up these federal programs.

I am all for eliminating fraud but it won't save Social Security. Will still need an increase in payroll taxes.

Also, given that total Medicaid spending is about 880 billion, 6 million is an infinitesimally small number. An error rate of 0.1% would be 880 million.

Colorado is less than 2% of the USA population. What is the number nationally?

Again, this is just a small piece of the fraud, and the most easily identified. Probably need to go digging for more.

This single indictment highlighted hundreds of millions in fraud among a relatively small # of people. The program has been heavily reduced by fraud.

Lying about psychiatric conditions is probably the easiest way to quality.
