That's what getting a green card is for. Seasonal employment. The Leftists, including Big Pharma loving Bernie Sanders, complain about minimum wage being too low, but OTOH, they bring in people who aren't making close to minimum, which drives wages down for the working and middle class. These people also pay sales tax, but they don't pay income tax. Much of our dollars are sent back to their home country.
So, fix the border. Bring back manufacturing to the US. Tariffs actually are helpful from that standpoint. I wouldn't want too many of them, but I would also want more a more business-friendly environment created by our government policies to bring back the global multi-nationals and make it worth the money. There are reasons they left. Some aren't right, but others are. If you get the economy moving to higher paying/quality jobs, and move the working class up compared to the wealthy, now you have something real and sustainable for all. I will not support any tax increase on corporations or individuals until the corruption and fraud is rooted out of DC and our economic situation improves.

Jeff should know that if you just freeze spending and have a pro-growth agenda, the revenue gains will overtake the spending problems. Asbury Park School District. It is the sending High School for about 12 small towns too small for a high school.
There is a convoluted formula of how many and what % will attend AP or elsewhere.
The cost PER PUPIL (less than 600 K - 12 kids in AP itself .) , was almost $ 40,000 PER STUDENT !
I made the argument that several local Elementary, Catholic or Charter or Private or regular High Schools could take ALL the kids !
The AP District pay $ 20,000 per student to everywhere else and CLOSE ALL the schools in AP and save millions !
