Unfortunately I think in time we'll learn that especially with USAID that the nefariousness of why/how/where money flowed will overshadow the magnitude of the $ spent.

Your complaints and arguments have become mostly a waste of time. Chasing you down the rabbit hole is useless. Go back and read the argument you put forth on Russia collusion. It is democrats speculating there is more evidence than the special counsel could find. It comes off as arguments of what you want as opposed to what is really happening.
Adams is an elected democrat. He flew too close to the sun with a weaponized DOJ that was used against people that disagreed with them. He openly complained about the Biden administration sending too many illegal immigrants to NYC and tried to rally other Dem governors to push back with him. Magically, he was suddenly investigated for plane and hotel upgrades. It appears the Trump administration does not see it as a good use of their time to keep pursuing Biden's political opponents.
I partially agree with this. I find billions to be a lot of money even tho some on here will pretend it is nothing.

One of us agrees with the special counsels finding of "no US citizen colluded with Russia". One of us clings to the notion there is something that they didn't find. I am good with the side of this I am on. Good luck chasing the ghosts you want to see!

The federal budget is about 7 trillion. After removing Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Interest, there is about 3 trillion left including Defense. In order to cut 2 trillion from the budget, you would have to reduce the rest of the budget including Defense by 66%. Do you want to decimate the government?
If people really care about US financial stability, then make realistic spending cuts and end the Trump tax cuts.

It is a lot of money, and although as pertains to USAID it is a small part of the problem, it's still part of the problem. It's what the money was intended to accomplish (despite how it was couched) is where I think we'll see things that typical US taxpayers aren't proud of.
Where did I say anything about cutting 2 trillion?
Dems have never looked to cut spending, only looked to increase taxes.
The majority of the country doesn’t want that. Most want significant cuts before looking at taxes.
Certainly going to cause some short term pain, but it’s incredibly necessary, and it’s about time.

Tax cuts help the PEOPLE. Waste, fraud and abuse don't help the PEOPLE other than the crooks and some of the bureaucrats. Is it any surprise to you why the PEOPLE are overwhelmingly supportive of what Trump is doing with this?
I've never understood why Democrats want more taxes on individuals and businesses. It's like they think the tax increases will only happen for billionaires and massive corporations. Unfortunately the truth is they want to increase taxes on anyone and everyone.
Again, Dems clinging to the 20 in the 80/20 position. Most people don't want taxes increased on everyone, and they know that is the Dem position. Yes, I'm ready for your stat that shows people want tax increases on those making 400k or more.
Why would anyone want more taxes, when we know that a ton of our tax $ is going to waste? Does anyone really think the government is responsible with our $?
I do not claim to know how this will play out over time, but here is what I would do if I were Trump/ Musk trying to tackle the budget.
1) Audit ALL current spending to identify waste and abuse. Correct and cut as quickly as possible. SS, Medicare and Medicaid are rife with fraud and abuse.
2) Audit all government contracts going back as far as legally possible. Find all the contracts where the party was paid and they did not fulfill their part of the contract. Use all means necessary to collect.
3) Audit areas where the US government was charged exorbitant amounts for parts or services. We have all seen the examples of a screw the government pays $100,000 for that you can get at Ace Hardware for $2. Investigate and recoup where you can.
4) Reciprocal Tariffs. Tariff any country the exact amount they tariff similar US products imported to their country.
5) Do NOT end the Trump tax cuts. The problem is not that US citizens do not pay enough in taxes. It is the US government lost their way and started spending tax dollars on things that tax dollars were never intended for.
6) Sell assets. The US government has plenty of assets that it does not use. Sell them. A couple of examples would be buildings/ real estate and spectrum our networks operate on for free. Does PBS have any real value? If so, sell it. If not, stop giving them US tax dollars and sell any hard assets. The examples here are endless, actually.
7) Use all the extra IRS agents(hired by Biden) to help on above as needed and where skills permit. Layoff the rest.
How much of the above does the Trump administration tackle in 4 years and how quickly can they tackle it?
Trump is uncovering rampant fraud, but we should just be taxed more anyway? Sounds like Trump needs to wave a magic wand.
It will happen efficiently only if these leftist Obama appointed judges over over-ruled swiftly by higher courts.
Social Security and Medicare need additional taxes to fix the deficit. Or do you want poor seniors to become poorer and go without medical care?
47% of the population does not pay any federal income taxes. How are they being helped by tax cuts? Cutting spending and taxes is just a massive wealth transfer from the poor to the wealthy.

I disagree with this to a certain extent. While I understand the ED is bloated and ineffective, there are blue states that are also bloated and too far to the left to be educating. Responsibility needs to be handed down as locally as possible…provided the education meets certain basic level testing standards. Some states are easier with home schooling kids than others. It isn’t as simple as just giving it back to the states. I could be persuaded, if a really good argument is presented though.

I want to see how much we really need to increase taxes after we have cut some of the fat.
Do we need to increase taxes on corporations by 8%? On the average taxpayer by an unknown amount? Let’s cut some of the administrative cost in all departments and see where we land. Could I support a modest increase? Yes. But they are never transparent about where our $ is going. Hopefully that is changing.
Because tax cuts help the economy by keeping more money for individuals to save or spend, which in turn helps employers, which in turn gets more of the 47% that don't pay federal income taxes to pay federal income taxes. Duh! It isn't even magic.

Trump will never sign an income tax increase. Tariff's are the only way to increase tax revenue without a major political hit for the GOP.
I’m saying over time. Not during Trump. Hopefully nothing but cuts from Trump. If he oversteps, there will be a correction with taxes down the road. If needed, I could support that. But only after massive cuts.

It really is not that hard. The poor utilize more governmental services than anyone. The services are cut and the poor suffer and those funds go to those who are better off through tax cuts.
