The NCAA officially bans trans athletes from competing on women’s teams.

The NCAA took decisive action given guidance from the federal government. It seems like that could be a model for addressing NIL and revenue sharing issues, albeit quite a bit more complicated.

I love seeing libs, dems and RINO’s pissing their pants about everything Trump says. Funny, just a few days ago it was the tariff’s and then *poof* everything is fine and we got what we wanted.
Positive change can be scary sometimes…. Re-establishing a properly run government is the goal here and it will be a scary journey for some…

From our board rules:

Oh those poor elite scumbags…. Scared that their cheap-labor illegals might get deported…
And the cops and city officials are no better…
Deport em all and arrest the defiant cops and city officials…

Obviously the NCAA is weak enough they allowed biological males in the womens sports until Trump signed the EO. Are you saying the government needs to tell the NCAA how to address NIL and other policies?

Yes that’s what I’m saying.

Maybe Durbin can rig us something from USAID to top off the Illini's NIL warchest?

Honestly, it feels like a slippery slope making NCAA sports a federal project. Any leadership failures the NCAA has should be addressed by the NCAA though picking good leadership. I wouldn't be surprised to learn in time that it was either fear of, or pressure by, elements of gov't/courts that led to the some of the really poor decisions regarding athletics that have been recently righted. And I think it was "help" by gov't via courts/state laws that precipitated the NIL/revenue sharing situation to begin with. Aside from federalizing it to potentially halt states and state courts from forcing the NCAA to adapt to a patchwork of laws and court rulings, what do you think they could do?

Good- get the hell outta here, lib. Again, tearing this mess down and rebuilding it properly is going to be scary and painful to some….

Republican leadership would do well to describe DOGE’s mission as searching out all the waste, abuse, and fraud in government spending so the PEOPLE can be sure the money is being spent for THEIR benefit and not for lining others’ pockets.

It does not appear that ICE arrested 100 TdA in Denver on Wednesday. Homan lied.
That's a shame. The only thing I'd seen is that they "targeted" 100 in the action, but didn't see how many Homan was actually claiming credit for apprehending. I'd like to see the gov't break it's habit of lying to the public--both "sides".

I actually thought that charter was pretty well laid out before the inauguration, but it bears repeating with clarity and frequency.

Ya, it looks like the media got a little excited and thought they arrested 100, not just targeted.

Homan blaming the local media for exposing their plans. A couple of the buildings were nearly empty when they arrived.

Indeed it does. Perpetual reinforcement of this point can only help to keep those who don’t like what DOGE is doing on their heels instead of on the attack.

It looks like they went to arrest them and someone tipped them off. We will have our first arrest and subsequent jail sentence for interference very soon after they find the leaker.

Perhaps she needs to read the thread from X I just posted. LOL. It’s quite clear where this is headed. And it’s transparent. She’s probably getting tugged away by her Democrat overlords. If the Republicans were mostly on the receiving end, I can imagine they would leave a caucus to make the caucus/group look much less bi-partisan.

edit: cleaned up some grammar

That's what Homan is saying. Curious to see how it plays out.

Would not surprise me. Although they brought the Fox News crew out with them on the raids. Seeing a bunch of tanks and news crews probably tipped them off. Might be tough to prove that someone tipped them off when it was pretty obvious what was happening.

Thanks for clarification. It does make some sense. The NCAA has been losing so many cases, they just roll over. With the court handing down what I think is a ridiculous decision (Pavia Juco doesn’t count toward NCAA) the judge essentially said NCAA can’t make its own rules on “student” athletes. That decision just furthered the difficulty of HS players going D1 out of HS. Juco is not for every person. Likewise it harms the system by placing Juco as a gateway. A boon to Jucos, but there aren’t enough programs for some sports, so the judge’s decision limits the opportunities within some sports. I don’t mind EO’s, but I’d want it ultimately codified in law. 6 years to play football because a player got jilted out of NIL in Juco? The next QB slotted to start at Vanderbilt just got his larger NIL opportunity taken away, so what did the judge actually accomplish with his decision? Everything was returning back to normal with the covid 5th years finally filtering out. It’s the wild west right now and HS kids still haven’t gotten a break.

Google's news feed is mainly left wing and strongly anti-Trump. Below is a headline from the Guardian, which they link to often. You can imagine what the article says but I linked it if you are interested. CNN, NY Times, Washington Post, AP, etc all have similar articles linked by Google.

So far I think the coordinated effort by the Dems and the media isn't working because Trump is getting results but I doubt they are going to stop anytime soon. For the Dems, that is their path back to power so it really doesn't matter what Trump does, they are against it.

The Republicans so far are united but need to withstand the constant drum beat of being against democracy. I wish Trump would have JD Vance or someone he trusts coordinate the PR across the govt. There is so much going on, that the opposition press and Dems can pretty much agitate against new topics every day. I also wish the Congress would pass a quick bill authorizing Doge so it takes away the "unauthorized, out of control, violating human rights, etc" argument and they can get to work.

The last administration wasted money like drunken sailors, forced DEI everywhere, passed executive orders on everything bypassing the congress, passed administrative regulations on everything, weaponized Justice and the FBI and threw open the borders, even flying illegal immigrants into our country but the Dems and the media are claiming Democracy now is in danger?????

Trump is trying to right the ship but could do a better job in the PR department to try to get the truth out to the 48% of the people who didn't vote for him. The media and the Dems are working hard to keep them in the dark.

"Trump’s blitz to expand his power is direct threat to democracy, experts say"

DOGE is already authorized. Trump simply repurposed the USDS that Obama created. He renamed the US Digital Services to US Doge Services to keep the same abbreviation.

I had posted this previously. This thread has a ton of answers.

BTW, that’s just how the Dems and Deep State are fighting back. Lies. It’s all they know and all they’ve done. Trump will keep winning. Scott Jennings made a great point on CNN the other day saying Trump is taking issues that are 80/20 in this country and taking the 80%. The Dems are set on their very unpopular beliefs, the 20% (men in womens sports, men in womens bathrooms, illegal aliens and open borders as examples) and that’s how the Dems currently sit at a 31% favorability rating.
