It is hard to argue this because you are correct about our history of paying for everything. I am hoping this is a different strategy.
Oh yeah we don't need the CIA. We have the best intelligence on the planet. Of course, now that Putin's "girlfriend" as she is referenced on Russian TV is going to be DNI, it might be safer not to have intelligence for her to pass to Russia.
To me , we should not be funding anything that leads to death and destruction …like in Ukraine . We promoted war instead of peace.

Why not relax and validate it when the Dems take back one of the chambers of Congress in 2 years? It’s like complaining in post-game threads about how bad Illinois is when they’ve had two main contributors injured or MIA for a few weeks now. Just wait until the end of the season and see how good or bad it was.

Trump just signed an executive order to stop funding/pull out of UNRWA. He also got us out of several other globalist organizations that create international strife.
Netanyahu may not be Trump's choice, but Trump must work with him or use USAid to overthrow him. As long as Trump can gain his cooperation/compliance, Trump will work with him.

Two hours later the WH press secretary just confirmed a lot of my guess as to the plan. Imagine that.I think the crowd that loses their mind over every Trump quote, usually cannot see he has an end goal he is trying to achieve. These goals(policy shifts) are not usually attainable through "traditional diplomacy". Trump does let some clues slip as to his end game in these scenarios.
My guess at this point:
Trump has been pressuring (hard) the wealthier players in the area to take(resettle) Palestinians they do not want. These players would probably rather part with some money than take people that are slightly brainwashed to cause havoc. So, Trump shifts course yesterday and suggests we rebuild Gaza. He didn't say we would pay for it and at one point sounded like he would be asking others to pay for it.
So, I would guess he is trying to get "donations" to help settle the rebuild and placement problems over there in the name of peace and humanity. It would not surprise me to see US troops handling security and US contractors participating in the rebuild and all for a reasonablefee.
Of course, this is speculation on my part. The crazies can go back to the gnashing of their teeth🤣

False. Anyone that watched what he said in the Q & A yesterday heard him say he wanted others over in the region to pay for it. You were too busy doing your anti-Trump flailing to listen to and digest what was said. Not shocked. Maybe you could try listening to what was actually said and then comment?
A few things about the plan being drawn up for Gaza.
The U.S. will be facilitating but not funding the reconstruction.
They are diligently working on a plan to relocate refugees temporarily while reconstruction is underway.
No U.S. military boots on the ground.
Trump obviously isn’t the most elegant speaker and he got some details wrong initially, but that’s the plan.

Btw, it’s not unusual for the press secretary to have to clarify remarks by Trump. It happened all the time in his first term. He rattles off stuff off the top of his head way too much.

He left all options on the table while negotiating. You probably do not understand this tactic, but the press secretary was asked specifically about this. She said he needed to leave these options on the table as they work out details with the leaders over there. Maybe these are just areas you are not very good at digesting 🤷♂️
