It got Ken Snow too. Who is Ken Snow? The greatest soccer player in Illinois high school history, aged 50 or so. 4x-1st team All-American at Indiana. Ken had untreated and undiagnosed Covid and thought he could tough it out in May 2020. Really, not the brightest decision at the time considering the fear going around. Had he seen a doctor, I'm 99 percent certain he is alive today. That told me it was serious if left to fester.
Still, my personal experience was quite the opposite. I found out in August 2020 that I was positive for COVID A/B and was told by the staff that this result was 100 percent. For the life of me, I couldn't tell you when I had had it since I was very self aware of every single sniffle, cough, etc. that year.
So, yes, agree, it got some perfectly healthy, young-ish people too which should have further eaten away at future mortality, but didn't. The high rate carried on.
