Sounds like many don't like this idea, arguing that it devalues the regular season. I would disagree with that, as most teams who would make the tournament anyway don't care - they are playing for seeding the whole year regardless. You would still be playing for seeding this year. It devalues the season for the teams on the "bubble" - but no one cares about them much anyway...

Others don't like it because they think expanding the NCAA tournament, having more travel and more interaction, is a bad thing if health and safety is a concern. Then you have Seth's question about Title IX.

It also sounds like nobody is really aware of who is in charge. Coach K is reportedly the one behind this proposal, but do the ACC coaches actually have any power? Will the NCAA listen? Do they have enough clout to make it happen? If all the ACC coaches are in agreement on this, you would assume all coaches in the country would be in agreement too - is that the case?
