I think more than the scheme...This has got to be his undoing right? I mean if you look at the list of players (I won't consider players that were kicked off) - this would form a lot of 2-deep if they were around.

Ke'Shawn Vaughn - would be a senior All-B1G caliber running back if used properly
Pat Nelson - would have been Jr. experienced safety thumper
Tito O - starting DT, was a good combo with Jamal M last year
Tre Watson - Starting MLB
Julian Jones - worst case scenario Depth at LB - Special Teams Contributer
Chris James - depth/experience in depleted secondary
Harvey Clayton - depth/experience in depleted secondary
Sean Adensanya - depth/experience on DL
Christion Abercrombie - depth/experience on Edge
Dominic Thieman - WR depth/experience
Des Cain - WR depth/experience
Gabe Megginson - OL depth/experience

People are spot on that Lovie has taken too much of an NFL approach to roster mgt - needed to fight harder to retain some of these players even if they had some challenges. A good coach finds a way to make it work with guy like Bennett W, Cam T (move him to WR).

Another roster mgt thing that drives me crazy is special teams - this isn't NFL where you have tremendous athletes/players at your disposal for special teams - Lovie should be putting our best athletes out there - why not get Corbin touches in return game?!

We are going to lose more this upcoming off-season as well. Seems like Carmoni Green is permanently in dog house for one.
