The N-G and the report which was printed in the N-G stated an assistant was in the meetings with Beckman when he "encouraged" 4 Red-shirt Juniors to give up their scholarships. If this accurate, and is of the critical aspects of the report which the "firing" of Beckman was based upon, . . three questions come to mind:
1. Who (name) is this assistant? Why was he not named in the report which was reported to the press and the public -- the University wants to be transparent, does it not?
2. If this is true, why then is that assistant still on the staff? These meetings were one of the more egregious inappropriate actions taken by Beckman . . . to be consistent would you not want to release this assistant, too?
3. Who were the 4 red-shirt juniors?
Curious . . . looking forward to your comments Doug.
