This really deserves it's own thread. Hopefully this was rock bottom for our games there.
I know we blame the trustees for forcing is to play them there every so often. Which trustees? Any hope that new ones will help?
Was Groce fine with it? I know he has an aversion to playing quality non-conference road games. Did he not want a challenging opponent since we had given up the early true home games due to the renovation?
How much did Mike Thomas have to do with it?
Are we scared to play them at UIC Pavilion and then be able to play a more interesting game in the UC?
If the trustees are so fixated on helping UIC get the exposure perhaps play a double header? Perhaps they play Valpo and then we play an opponent worthy of tv?
If I didn't live only 3 el stops from the game I would have boycotted it as so many others did.
