Huge failure by staff not to get a QB in with such an academic risk like Lawson. I just don't know how you go into season with Crouch, George Jr and Thomas as your top 3 qbs and feel good about it. Had plenty of time to find a 5th year and didn't do it. I realize we have three coming in next year and Thomas on board but will any put us in position to win games in 2018? A stud JUCO/5th year should be a priority.
I realize the robber 'prank' cost us 2 OL in the off-season, but I don't know that those two would have helped much anyay... Lee would have allowed Palcho to not get thrown in fire but Watkins looked a couple years away. Not a huge fan of JUCO recruiting but really need to get 2 JUCO OL that can play right away.
I understand playing the young kids but we may not be able to attract better recruits (like Ford) if we don't start winning games and being competitive against better teams. I mean we played #22 ranked team not #2 and looked like an FCS team
