was hired, many people on this board acted like it was Christmas! People were talking like we had just won the coaching lottery. As time went on and Lovie put together his staff people kept acting the same way. Well Illinois is 2 - 5 and at best will end up 3 - 9. For all the NFL coaching experience, this team looks and plays bad! Guys are out of position, A LOT! That is not talent, that is coaching.
I will give Lovie 3 years to show he can recruit better talent. I'll give him 4 to show he can win at Illinois. If Illinois could average 7-5 or 8-4 over the next 3 years I'd be happy. Sadly though, I think that 6-6 is the best they will do.
