Looking back now, what could have been if we would have kept him? I know the losing streak had a majorly negative spin on his tenure and supposedly his recruiting had been slipping, but I still think he could have righted the ship and turned things around.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think he could have done great things again at illinois. I hope for a new coach that can take illinois to bowls consistently no matter if they are low level.
