CHAMPAIGN, IL – Illinois Head Football Coach Bill Cubit announced today special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Alex Golesh and inside linebackers coach Mike Ward are no longer a part of the Fighting Illini coaching staff. A national search to replace both coaches will begin immediately.
Both Golesh and Ward spent four years on the staff, coming to Illinois from Toledo with Tim Beckman before the 2012 season.
