I’m no expert by any means, just an alum that wants to see success. I don’t think we will ever be a top team in the big ten, too many obstacles, too much tradition and success in other programs, but a constituent bowl participant is what I want. Bowls in almost every year. This is been very elusive for illini football in our history. I think if we can play nonconference teams that we can beat easily, all cupcakes. If we can get 4 non conference wins we can reasonable see 2big ten wins most years. I know some don’t like that, but I think we need to get wins to return to a mediocre program.
As for Lovie, I don’t think he’s the answer,but we can’t keep firing coaches after 3 seasons. I still want leach, but I doubt that would happen. He’s happy at wash st. And I don’t think he would come anyway.
