Taking an early look at the in-state 2018 class, there are no elite but quite a few very good 4-star types. If you add in STL, there is an elite kid or 2 (DT Trout).
Are there any kids in 2018 that are likely to pop early? Any kids especially high on Illinois?
Did a little digging on my own, these are some of the priority kids from 2018 (in-state only!) IMO:
- SDE Devin O'Rourke Frankfort, IL
- DT Verdis Brown IMG Academy Florida (originally Mt. Carmel)
- ATH (DB) Houston Griffith Academy Florida (originally Mt. Carmel)
- WR Micah Jones Gurnee, IL
- WR I'shawn Stewart Bolingbrook, IL
- QB Coran Taylor Peoria, IL
If memory serves, there are some out of state kids high on Illinois, like SDE (DT?) Ronnie Perkins out of STL.
