I would like to take a moment and express some appreciation to all for the support and friendships over the last 47 games we have had the pleasure to experience. You welcomed our son and our family into the Illini Nation of people and we will always cherish that. We have had the joy of watching Mason play all over the country the past 47 games and I can tell you without hesitation that the experiences and environment you have at Memorial Stadium should never be taken for granted (and I've been a Buckeyes ticket holder for a loooong time). Three components to a successful program are good coaching, good talent, and equally if not more important is good support. The atmosphere Saturday was top notch. Continue to support your program and the victories will come. More important though, trust me when I tell you the family environment is unmatched.
I am as guilty as anyone when I get on my complaining horse.....once again I was put in my place when instead of my son complaining that we didn't score enough points Saturday the first words out of his mouth were, "I wish I could have done more". Makes me feel juvenile sometimes. Keep in th back of your mind that nobody wants to win or puts in as much time, effort and sacrifice as the young men we watch. I will to!
Let's go win the last 2 and enjoy a bowl trip! Thank You Champaign!
