along with Abrams' pre-season injury, and Tate's & Starks' shortcomings at running the Point led us to a season that ended worse than any I can remember (san Weber's last season)...
Snider's runaway bride act the night before signing day was an absolute killer. YES, that's an excuse, but it's a pretty good one, and that coupled with a bunch of other adversities sure didn't help out last season.
Groce needs to recover from that, and what better way than with Lovett. The bad luck at PG needs to stop. Lovett needs to qualify, and pick Illinois. If he doesn't, something needs to break our way w/ PG(s). before 2017, and when 2017 finally rolls around, Nojel Eastern really needs to pick the Illini. He could be the best PG, err combo Guard we've seen at UI for a long time.
