The UT staff has been all over TE Luke Ford for a while, but with the recent developments (Mustapha Muhammad to Michigan, Dominick Anderson decommitting), it comes as no surprise that the UT staff is making Ford a major priority.
I'm told that Ford and his family had a long talk with Texas TEs coach Corby Meekins last night, the same night Anderson backed out of his pledge. Meekins was considering flying up to see the Carterville (IL) product on Friday to watch Ford play but Carterville doesn't play until Saturday so that trip will have to wait.
Ford still plans to take an official visit to Texas at some point.
