Statistical Effect of 5th year transfers on gaining and losing teams & player's statistics

Has anybody ever done a study on what the affect statistically a transfer has made on the players numbers (up or down ) and the gaining teams numbers? I know they chart everything now in all sports and because of that I was just wondering. I have reading about the Cardinals' OF options now that Heyword left and reading all the statistics available to help distinguish players and I made the leap to 5th year players and the teams (gaining and losing) statistics.
