Groce just doesn't teach his kids how to win basketball games and this team's mental fortitude has literally always been an eggshell away from cracking.
It happened against Villanova, Oregon, Michigan, Ohio St., and again against Michigan. They just get frustrated too quickly when things go badly, lack togetherness, have no trust in the system Groce has implemented, and as a result, play bad basketball and fold.
Someone who understands basketball needs to be hired as an assistant to help Groce out and to kick these guys in the ass so that when things turn sour in a game or season, the collective psyche of the basketball team doesn't flush itself down the toilet.
If there are no staff changes, I will not be following Illinois basketball until Groce proves he's capable.
