When Doug and I were discussing the Big Ten Biggest Position Needs story last week a lot of that discussion centered around Garrick McGee finally getting his guy he wants to run his offense. Well, Coran is that guy. A true dual-threat who is an excellent athlete for the position.
Coran is not a guy I would expect to come in and contribute from day one. His skills are raw and, although I wasn't there, I heard he struggled at the Nike camp yesterday. That doesn't surprise me; he needs a lot of polish. But, he has a lot of things that can't be taught and coaches love prospects like that - tons of ability, but just need to be molded. Size, speed, arm strength - things that you pretty much either have or don't, well, Coran has them.
