Who do you think is underrated in this class?
Who will see playing time in 2018 and who will need lots of time to develop?
Obviously we won't see 15 freshmen getting tons of PT this year, but I think a few are certain to see the field.
My sleepers of the class:
TE Daniel Barker - I think he will get opportunities to prove himself in double TE formations and get chances to catch passes as well as blocking duties. I'm not sure how well of a blocker he is at the college level, but I'm guessing he'll hold his own and have a solid career at Illinois. He will be a nice complement to Dorsey who we may spread out more often.
Safety - Sydney Brown - I love his play style and athleticism. He's a run and hit defensive back who looks like a safety to me. If anything were to happen to Stanley Green, Brown can fill in nicely. His film shows a heads up player that can deliver hits but also can track the ball down in the air. I'm looking forward to seeing his contributions on the field and it may start on special teams. He may even get a shot to be a punt returner....can he be a poor man's Jabril Pepper's?
