Reminds me of some of the bad days from the end of Lovie's tenure with the Bears. Based on comments, I think the Illini staff wanted to prevent big plays and didn't think PU could complete drives without self destructing. But that only works if your front 6/7 can hold up against the run. It's damn tough on a safety to be expected to come racing up from that deep and make an open field tackle on a back that got through untouched and is at nearly full speed. Fedj was as good at it as any safety I've seen in a long time.

The other thing I noticed was how often the Linebackers took themselves out of the play. I don't know what they were reading, but it wasn't working. Most frustrating was the fact they didn't appear to adjust throughout the game. Was I missing something?
