1. The guy that they want to hire is Rick George. George needs time, so that's why the delay. If it drags out, it means they likely get George and that is good for most. George is Plan 1A, Tiley plan 1B.
2. Illinois will pay big $$ to get the right guy. They have kept some other options open if things blow up.
3. George has the backing of a huge booster ready to give big $$$. The question is whether they are willing to wait on George at this point.
