Following Big Ten football games on Oct. 15, the co-offensive, defensive and special teams players of the week and freshman of the week in the Big Ten were announced this morning. Below are this week's honorees:

Justin Jackson, Northwestern

- Rushed for a career-high 188 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wildcats to a road victory over Michigan State
- Recorded touchdown runs of 29 yards and 26 yards as Northwestern scored more points than any Spartans home opponent in history
- Leads the Big Ten in rushing attempts and rushing yards and ranks fifth in touchdowns on the ground
- Claims his first career Offensive Player of the Week award

Jr., QB, Wichita Falls, Texas/Rider
- Accounted for 318 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in a 30-23 overtime victory at Wisconsin
- Led the Buckeyes back from 10-point deficits twice, scored two rushing touchdowns and hit Noah Brown on a 7-yard touchdown pass in overtime for the deciding points
- Now responsible for 89 touchdowns (rushing and passing), breaking the Ohio State career record for touchdowns responsible for previously held by Braxton Miller
- Receives the sixth Offensive Player of the Week award of his career and second this season

- Tallied a career-high 15 tackles, including 11 solo stops, against Ohio State
- Recorded 3.5 tackles for loss and one sack
- Added one forced fumble
- Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week honor

Solomon Vault, Northwestern
Jr., WR, Gaithersburg, Md./ Gaithersburg
- Registered a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown late in the third quarter after Michigan State had cut the Northwestern lead to 33-31
- Recorded his fourth career kickoff return touchdown, extending his school record and moving into a tie for third place in Big Ten history with Michigan State’s DeAndra Cobb
- Marked his first kick return for a touchdown since Nov. 7, 2015, against Penn State
- Claims his first career Special Teams Player of the Week honor
