Peculiar question on a Saturday evening...does anyone have experience with the development of a nice stone monument for a neighborhood entrance? I got a quote from a company in the St. Louis area and was shocked that they normally start around $40,000! Perhaps I simply underestimated the cost, but we have a rather small neighborhood (less than 20 homes) and $40k is asking residents to come out of pockets 1,000's each. Not looking for anything overly extravagant, but do want classy and nice.
