Someone defend the NFL here... (and @bucshon I'm looking at you, rather argue here than twitter :) ) I saw your OOB analogy and I'm not seeing how that helps your case.

The "complete the process while going to the ground" is probably the worst rule in sports. The ground can't cause a fumble, so why can it cause an incomplete pass?

Pittsburgh guy clearly had control of ball today (just like Calvin Johnson did so many years ago). The catch was complete (meaning by common sense, not by rule). This seems simple to me
