Casey Fletcher and David Kerian homered in the 8th inning to post 3 runs and break up a 1-1 tie for the Illini.
The Illini threatened in the 6th with the bases loaded and one out, but grounded into a double play.
Starting pitching, John Kravetz, was good again and Tyler Jay pitched two perfect inning for a 6 out close.

If we can generate a bit more offense we will be very dangerous.
Pitching is solid, defense solid, hitting is good but not outstanding yet.
They seem to be tough in these close late inning games though.

Congrats to the Illini and coach Dan Hartleb and staff.
