Orange Krush Registration Underway
Champaign, Ill.–Orange Krush registration is now available to University of Illinois students interested in season tickets for the upcoming Fighting Illini men's basketball season. The organization has overhauled its membership structure and registration process over the summer to make the group easier to join and more affordable than ever. This year's members will be the first to experience the renovated State Farm Center, which has seen its courtside Orange Krush seating expand by roughly 50 percent from about 600 seats to approximately 900 seats. The organization has also upgraded the benefits associated with each level of membership.
Under the new membership structure and registration process, students will no longer collect pledges based on 3-point shots made, and instead will have set levels of membership with benefits associated with the total amount fundraised. Additionally, all students wishing to purchase basketball season tickets will now be considered part of Orange Krush and will receive membership benefits such as a t-shirt, pregame parties in Memorial Stadium, food, drinks and more. Members will be admitted to State Farm Center on game days according to their membership level.
With these changes, any U of I student wanting men's basketball season tickets will register for Orange Krush membership. Therefore, all UI students with season tickets are part of the Krush organization – whether or not they elect to fundraise – ending the separation that existed previously between Krush and general student ticket sales and uniting the students as one group.
Membership includes tickets to nine home games during the 2015-16 season. Those games include opponents such as Notre Dame, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Iowa, among others. Tickets to games while University classes are not in session will be available on a single game basis for purchase at a student rate.
