USF dismantled us last year in Tampa (I live here so I keep tabs on USF also) and looking back at their last four years of recruiting, they had exactly 2 guys with 4 star ratings. All the rest were 3 or 2 stars by Rivals.
The 2018 class had all 3 star guys and they are crowing here about it being a big recruiting class for Charlie Strong and keeping the momentum going.
I realize that if USF played in the Big Ten they would have fewer wins but last year's team and the previous year still would have won a lot of games even in the B1G.
So, here's to hoping that our Illini have some great players hidden in the Rivals STAR rating system.
After all, what organization could possibly watch all the high school football players in the country and rate them all correctly.
