Unless someone has ties to TSUN (that school up north)(i.e. master's degree, family attendance, grew up in Evanston) I don't know why any Illini fan would cheer for them.
A friend of mine who did not attend either school told me, a UI alum, that I should be for them since they are in the same state. I did not hate them prior to Gary Barnett but I was envious. I started hating them when I moved to Chicago and really started hating them when Fitzy became the coach. I live in Champaign now but still hate them. I don't care if its tOSU, Iowa, Wisky, or scUM playing them. I will never want them to win (unless it benefits us and I will do it reluctantly).
