From reading online, it appears that a bill has been submitted to congress that seeks to amend the foreign labor issue with NIL deals.
This foreign Labor on Travel Visas previously blocked Chase and Edey from getting paid on NIL deals as Canadians.
I've also read that there is a difference between "Active" and "Passive" deals...
Any insights into this topic would be appreciated.
1. How are foreign players working around this now? (Can't tell that this congressional amendment this has passed yet)
2. Does a strategy exist to establish your NIL deal as passive, thus avoiding any "Labor' component?
Looking for an NIL/Foreign education from anyone with insights to this complex and rapidly evolving topic.
Cleary our foreign guys and the Russian that signed at BYU are comfortable that they will get paid, or they wouldn't have made the jump. Was there something done recently that got them comfortable.....
Thanks!
