Listen, on this roster, we have a QB with who is ACTUALLY a QUARTERBACK. Not an athlete playing QB. One who can read defenses. One who can pass AND run. One who has been doing it every. single. weekend. since he was 8 between football, pee-wee, and 7on 7 (national champ there by the way).
I know the offense is not the problem this year. But, MJ likely on concussion protocol. AJ ineffective- at least by air. Some think Robinson is the future. Fine- save the anointed's redshirt season. Wait for the arrival of Williams if he will be your guy. Whatever. But this season, this season is lost, and I think your best QB is running the scout team. Expend what you think is expendable, Rod. You might just find a spark.
Because all were talking about here is a PWO. A PWO who has been running the scout team and torching the 1st team defense for the last 7 weeks (all right who hasn't), honestly throws a better ball than anyone on the team, and has a history of WINNING.
I'm not going to get in a big argument about his offer list, I KNOW for a fact that other P5 and B1G programs came sniffing late in the game, with the same or better deal he got at Illinois. One of them we play in the near future.
Ill admit to being a 100% homer, completely biased, and not objective about this kid. But he can sling it. And he can sling it to the right guy in the right situation.
