Richt did not win enough big games but I think he is a fine offensive coach. Vince Dooley won a title on the backs of Herschel Walker but to me overall I am not he was much better than Richt. This is a plum job and the right coach can make it into a top 5 program. Supposedly the Alabama DC leads.......makes me laugh when I think about how Illinois insists on hiring sitting HC's. iirc, RIcht was Bowden's OC at FSU before making the jump to one of the premier jobs in the SEC....
