Liberty: "U of I basketball program is headed downhill. I talk with my teammates a lot and we all care about our school and what we see as former players, we'll at least I do our basketball program is headed in the wrong direction. No NCAA tournament in the past 3 years and we have top notch talent in Chicago. Charlie Moore is probably going to be name Mr basketball and what school is he going to? Memphis, Zach Norvell, Ben Coupet just to name a few not even considering going downstate to U of I to me that's a problem. You have a new renovated arena, a school that's all about higher education and we can't even get a visit from top ranked kids from the state. As I'm watching the NCAA tournament and it's no Illini I'm over here feeling down because I love my university."
