was letting Josh Sternquist go. Last year could have been utter chaos in recruiting. He did a tremendous job organizing, and was establishing relationships with Illinois coaches. Fast forward to post signing day, for reasons that are still not clear, he gets fired.
His responsibilities have been spread over 3 other people, including our Scout, and the work is not getting done, at least not as well.
I see a correlation between this termination and our performance in state recruiting this year.
My theory is LS wanted more salary for others, which made Sternquist expendable. Just a thought. Nothing else makes sense.
