The Illinois basketball program is at a historical low point. It's just as broken as football was last summer, albeit with a less embarrassing head coach.
Whitman obviously believes he can help John Groce fix it. But I see an NIT roster in 2016-17, and I see more empty seats at the SFC.
If they aren't making a change, then how do you improve this team before next season? Your thoughts?
Are the additions of Abrams, Lucas, and possibly Black enough? How much will the freshmen improve?
